Who we are
Sunset Community Church is a multiethnic church in one of the most diverse cities in the Pacific Northwest. With over thirteen nationalities represented in our church family we are intentionally diverse with a heart for all people and a desire to make Jesus known.

Where we’re located
We are located in Renton, Washington which is adjacent to South Seattle. Our church is situated in a neighborhood of Renton that has been undergoing significant revitalization and is predicted to explode in growth in the next few years. Renton is the home to Seattle Seahawks, Boeing, and as a city is one of the most diverse in the United States.

What We're Praying For

We are looking for a gifted and passionate leader to join with what God is doing in our church and city. Specifically, you would be responsible for giving leadership to our existing music and media team for our Sunday gatherings and special events. You might be a good fit if:

  • You value the unique contributions of people from different cultures and ethnicities.

  • You’re big on team ministry.

  • Able to help develop musicians and vocalists.

  • You’re a hard worker who also knows how to keep personal/family time and care of your own soul a priority.

  • You’re a creative type who also loves people.

Essential Requirements

  • Be a mature and growing follower of Jesus

  • 3-5 Years as a leader or key member of a worship team

  • Ability to organize and lead a worship team

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Teachable spirit

  • Able to deal with conflict in a Biblical manner

  • A heart for the whole church body and a desire to work with and support other ministries in the church

  • Agreement with church doctrine and statement of faith

Required Skills

  • Competent musician, guitar or piano skills preferred

  • Ability to lead a wide range of musical styles

  • Understanding of how to read and arrange music

  • Comfortable with advanced technology such as ProPresenter, Livestream, etc.

  • Have an understanding of how to set up and run a sound system
