Tough Question Series - Marijuana, Alcohol and the Christian life

Jesus first miracle was turning water into wine so is it ok if I drink alcohol? Marijuana is legal now, so if I’m of age and responsible it’s ok right? Does the Bible really have anything to say about these types of things?

If you have a question based on this topic email it to us at admin@sunsetcommunity.church and plan to join us and be a part of the conversation.

Tough Questions Series - How should Christians deal with issues of mental health?

We know how important good physical health is but having good mental health is just as important. As Christians how should we deal with issues of depression and anxiety? For those who are dealing with mental health issues is the only answer to just pray and read the Bible? How can we love and support people who are dealing with issues of mental health?

For this topic we’re blessed to have Licensed Mental Health Counselor Tressa Borchardt share with us and answer our questions related to mental health. You can email your specific questions ahead of time HERE.

About Tressa Borchardt:

She was a D1 athlete while obtaining degrees in Child, Adult, and Family Services as well as Psychology from Iowa State University. Following college, Tressa traveled the world for a year with a mission’s program that took her across 4 continents to 11 different countries. Tough Question Series - What is a Christian response to abortion?

The Bible doesn't mention abortion, yet a majority of Christians are opposed to it. What are the ethical roots of this opposition? Are there cases when abortion should never be allowed and some where it should?

Politically, ethically, and religiously, abortion is still one of the most polarizing questions of our day. Join us as we wrestle with the abortion debate from a Christian worldview.

If you have a question based on this topic email it to us and plan to join us and be a part of the conversation.
