Resources for Advent

What is Advent?

Advent simply means “arrival” or “coming”. Advent is the four weeks leading up to Christmas day that we prepare to celebrate the first coming of God the Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. The advent season helps us to intentionally remember the greatness of his first coming.

As a church family our theme for this season of Advent is The Light Has Dawned, starting December 1 and ending with a special Christmas Eve gathering. One of the key applications of this time is for us to be fully present in our relationship with God and each other during the Christmas season. You’ll find some resources below that will help you to slow down and be present with God and with others.
